Employment Ontario can help you get the training, skills, and experience you need to achieve your goals. Through local offices across Ontario, they work to connect people looking for work with employers looking for workers and to help with job search and employment and training opportunities. For more information on Employment Ontario programs province-wide, visit the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Training, and Skills Development information page at https://www.ontario.ca/page/employment-ontario.
The Employment Services program is designed to offer the right employment-related supports based on your needs. Whether this is access to resource centres or working closely with an Employment Consultant on your job search, local ES providers are here to support you.
Literacy and Basic Skills
The Literacy and Basic Skills (LBS) program helps adults in Ontario to develop and apply communication, numeracy, interpersonal and digital skills to achieve their goals. The LBS program serves learners who have goals to successfully transition to employment, post-secondary, apprenticeship, secondary school, and increased independence. The program includes learners who may have a range of barriers to learning.
